Abersoch is a popular location for all boating enthusiasts. The main bay of Abersoch can often provide sheltered conditions, perfect for water skiing and wakeboarding. The stunning scenery around the bay makes it a wonderful place for watersports especially sailing, canoeing and kayaking.

If you want to launch your own boat yourself, the best way is to use the Golf Road (Lon Golff) slipway, this provides access to the Abersoch Main Beach. Payments are made at the entrance to the car park and details of charges are available from the Harbour Master’s office in Pwllheli (01758 613131). Council signs at the slipway provide all details on the use in the bay. No parking of vehicles is allowed on the beach. Having a berth at the Pwllheli Marina is also a great way of getting into the water and a fantastic trip around the bay to Abersoch.
Safety and Regulations:
Various zones are in force in the bay for powered craft – details of which are on the notice boards at the launch slip ways. There is a maximum speed limit of 4 knots on the beach side of the yellow buoys and there is a no powered craft area, close to the shore between the yacht club and the golf road slipway.
